Upgrading

Q: We are upgrading our iD installation, what else do I need to know/do?

For installations that are upgraded, you will also need to ensure that you upgrade your existing API Components.

Q: How do I find out what version of Intranet DASHBOARD I have installed?

There are FOUR methods in which you can find out the current installed version of Intranet DASHBOARD.

Method 1

Log into the Front End of the intranet and scroll down to the Footer. Hover over General > Powered by Intranet DASHBOARD link and a Tooltip will appear, citing the version number, as shown below:

Log into the Administration and check the version number that is located in the middle of the Welcome page. See image below for an example

Method 3

Navigate to your /admin/system/diagnostics.aspx page and check the iD Version section

Method 4

On the server that Intranet DASHBOARD is located, browse to the core.dll file, which by default will be found in the C:\Program Files\IntranetDashboard\wwwroot\bin\ directory. The version number can be obtained by viewing the Version tab within the properties of this file (right click - properties).

The FAQ application provides a way of creating and grouping frequently asked questions. FAQs are categorized into instances, each of which can be placed separately into the Layout of a site. An instance is a collection of FAQs that can be taken from a share repository spanning the whole intranet.
