Integrating Google Calendars into iD

To streamline access to tools that are used every day, display a user's calendar directly on the intranet. This guide shows you how to incorporate Google Calendar onto your intranet.

Google Calendar

To display your Google Calendar directly in your site’s home page layout. Follow these steps on your iD site:

1. Login to your Google Calendar.

2. Follow the instructions to locate and copy the embed code as according to this Google support article.

3. Browse to your site URL (eg. http://intranet) and edit the specific layout or iD CMS page that you wish to add the OWA item to:

· If editing a layout then follow the Editing an existing layout guide

· If editing an iD CMS page then follow the Editing an existing iD CMS page guide

4. Place an ‘HTML component’ on your layout, preferably into a large centrally located cell. Refer to this HTML Component guide.

5. Paste the embed code from step two into the HTML component.

6. Save the layout or save the page to Live and view your changes to confirm the new Google Calendar appears correctly.
