iD Desktop Assistant for iD 4.0

The iD Desktop Assistant provides administrators with instant access to the latest items requiring approval and the ability to upload multiple files at the same time, including the replication of entire folder structures into applications such as Document Manager, Image Library and Digital Assets Manager.

The iD Desktop Assistant is free to download and will be periodically updated to include new features and functionality.

Functionality

One click access for administrators to outstanding items requiring approval

Simultaneous multi-file upload including the replication of entire folder structures

List outstanding items awaiting approval

Alert pop-up when new item requires approval

Bulk upload of files to Content Publisher, Digital Assets Library, Document Manager and Image Library

iD Desktop Assistant supports uploading an entire folder in one action. Doing this will replicate the folder structure (including files and subfolders) in iD

Upload file size limit is checked each time a file is uploaded. This means that if you are prevented from uploading a file due to size restrictions you can modify the file size limit in iD and try the upload again straight away

Please note that this version of Desktop Assistant required Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 or later

Example Screen Shots and Description

	Sign In The sign in page provides a form to enter your Intranet DASHBOARD administration login details. Username Your iD admin username Password Your iD admin password Website URL The URL of your Intranet, Extranet or Portal Remember Me This option if checked will automatically sign the above user in when the application starts (eg. On Windows startup). Leave this unchecked if you would like to sign in manually each time you start iD Desktop Assistant. Sign In Click Sign In to connect iD Desktop Assistant to your intranet. Any errors related to the sign in process will be displayed on this page.
	Awaiting Approval List This list provides quick access to a list of all items awaiting approval in Intranet DASHBOARD. An item will be awaiting approval when submitted by a website user (eg. a news article submitted by a website user). The list may be sorted by Application, Subsite or Date (as shown). Clicking on an item will automatically open your intranet, log into the admin and take you directly to a page where the approval process can be completed.
	Multiple File Upload To access the Multiple File Upload plug-in click the tab on the left hand side below the iD clipboard tab. Using the steps shown on the left multiple files can be uploaded to Content Publisher, Digital Assets Library, Document Manager and Image Library. After completing each step of the process a Next button will be made available in the lower right hand corner of the window. Once file uploading has completed you may return to the approval list by clicking on the iD clipboard tab.
