General Properties

Template Properties

The My Activity Feed Component allows you to display the logged in user's Activity Feed posts in a Layout, Page or Profile.

The advantages of using the component are:

Increase the visibility of a discussion currently taking place in their Activity Feed
Keep users engaged with what is currently being posted in the feed
Add a dynamic element to your Layouts, Pages and Profiles (e.g. Home)
View posts on a Layout or Page without having to access your Profile

Component PropertiesAuthorized users can edit the Component Properties of the My Activity Feed Component. By editing the properties you can adjust the available functionality and the look and feel of the component.

The editing of the properties is divided into 3 tabs:

General Properties
Enable and disable general styling and formatting properties.
Component Properties
Allows users to enable and disable properties that are specific to the Channel Feed Component, i.e. Post Interaction Buttons, and Load Post options.
Template Properties
These properties are set within the template and are not usually editable as they control the overall use of a component. For example, a component can be configured so that the component itself cannot be removed.

General
General properties are related to the general appearance of the component within its nominated location. Listed below are the properties available for modification.

Name
Default Value: None
The name of the component, used as the identifier for the component for Administrators to see in Edit mode only.

Border Style - NONE | DOTTED | DASHED | SOLID | DOUBLE | GROOVE | RIDGE | INSET | OUTSET
Default Value: None
The border style determines the style applied to the border applied around the component. A style of none indicates that a border will not be added.

Border Color
Default Value: None
The border color sets the color of the border rendered around the component.

Border Width
Default Value: 2px
The border width sets the border width around the component. A width of 0 indicates that a border will be added.

Padding - LEFT | RIGHT | TOP | BOTTOM
Default Value: 0px
The padding property specifies the padding that will be placed around the component. Specific values can be applied to the left, right, top and bottom of the component's boundary.

Component

The Component properties are related to the specific components visual appearance and function. Listed below are the properties available for modification.

Display Post Interaction Buttons
Default Value: Off/False
When enabled, below each post displaying in the My Activity Feed component, the logged-in user can Like, Comment and/or Share this post. When disabled, the logged-in user can read posts only. The logged-in user will need to access his/her own Activity Feed to interact.

Load Posts
Default Value: 3
Sets the number of posts to display in this component.

Template

The Template Properties are set at the template level and cannot be edited elsewhere. Listed below are the properties within the template properties.

Allow Property Editing
Default Value: True
This property determines if the properties of the component can be modified from the default settings provided via the template.

Allow Inline Editing
Default Value: True
This property determines if the component's content can be modified from the default content provided via the template.

Allow Repositioning
Default Value: True
This property determines if the component can be moved to its current position (drag and drop).

Allow Removal
Default Value: True
This property determines if the component can be removed from the current location.

Allow Sharing
Default Value: True
This property determines if the component can be shared for other users to use within the site.
