The following technical guidelines are provided to enable your organization to best accommodate Intranet DASHBOARD.

Database Options
Microsoft SQL 2005 or 2008 Server Configuration
Using the full version of SQL 2005 or 2008 allows for the highest level of performance and capacity as well as load balancing. We recommend using SQL Server for organisations or groups with more than approximately 1,000 staff or where SQL Server is already available.
Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or 2008 Express Configuration
Using SQL Express allows for the installation of Intranet DASHBOARD where no SQL Server is available. SQL Express is the free lightweight version of the full Microsoft SQL Server product and therefore has some limitations placed on it. SQL Express can be installed directly with Intranet DASHBOARD as it is built into the installer. SQL Express has a number of limits on the amount of data that it can store so we suggest that the Filesystem Filestore option is used when installing with SQL Express.

Intranet DASHBOARD does not require any additional hardware options in order to function.
Please note these values are an indication of the amount of space required in a typical installation. One license is applicable to one web server.
In general an organizations with up to 1,000 end-users, a single server will accommodate the Intranet DASHBOARD application and the Microsoft SQL server database (if required). A separate SQL Server installation will provide a greater number of connections and a larger database capacity. There is a choice between using the iD web server file system or the SQL Server database for content storage; this may affect your server requirements.
Network Requirements
Intranet DASHBOARD will run effectively on all TCP/IP enabled intranet networks or the internet where suitable bandwidth is available and network latency is minimized. The positioning of the Intranet DASHBOARD application and server within the organization is vital to the efficiency of the application. Situating the server in a centralized hosting area will provide optimal performance.
Client Requirements
