Notifications allow users to subscribe to content and be notified of changes to content via email and/or RSS feed. Users can also personalize and manage their own notifications and alerts.

Notifications can be accessed via the footer of each page within your intranet site.

Features

• Intranet users can subscribe to relevant content
• Users can choose to be notified of any changes via either email or RSS feed
• Administrators can control on a per subsite and per app basis which content intranet users can subscribe. This is managed via the Generic Components Manager
• Administrators can configure a number of settings that effect the behavior of Notifications for Front End users, including:
  • The format of the email sent, either HTML or text (NOTIFICATION_EMAIL_FORMAT)
  • The frequency to send notification emails to subscribed intranet users (FREQUENCY_OF_NOTIFICATION_EMAILS)
  • The time in which changes to content are stored in users' RSS feeds (NOTIFICATION_RSS_HISTORY)
