Survey Manager

Adding a new surveyPlease, login to The Admin

to complete the following steps.

Select Manage Surveys from the Survey Manager menu
In the folder list, click the applicable folder
Click Add New Survey
Optional: to copy an existing survey, select Copy Survey to select the applicable Folder and Survey from the drop-down lists (Note: copying an existing survey will pre-populate the Add Survey wizard with the details from the selected survey)
Click Next to continue (to create a new survey)
Enter the Details as required:
- The Title will appear as a heading for the survey
- The Description will appear as an introduction to the survey, it could explain the purpose of the survey, what the results will be used for and/or how long the survey will take to complete
Click Next to continue
Create the content of the survey by adding the Questions
- To add a question to the survey, select the type of question from the list on the right-hand side.
  
  Click on the applicable Question Type, hold, drag and drop it onto the yellow area. You can now add, edit or delete questions by dragging them onto the layout or by clicking the 'plus' or 'minus' button to add/remove as required.
  To remove a question from the survey, click the applicable question, hold and drag it to the recycle bin in the bottom right.
- Question Types include:
Multi-Line Text - multiple lines of text can be entered

Single Line Text - a single line of text can be entered

Drop Down List - a drop-down list of options can be entered

True or False - options which have a true or false outcome can be entered

Single Choice - a series of radio buttons where only one choice can be selected

Multiple Choice - a series of checkbox options where more than one can be selected

Rating - a simple rating system can be applied to a question

Rating Bank - a series of questions/options that can be rated
- Layout Types include:
Question Heading - a heading for the question being entered

Free Text Display - enter text you would like displayed

Page Break - separates the survey into pages
- Branching Options:
Survey Branch - allows for questions to be optional based on a users' answer

Branch Target - if a user selects the option from the survey branch that doesn't require them to fill in additional answers they will be automatically taken to the question that starts after the branch target
Review the details, click Back to make changes
Click Finish to save
