Accessing Quick Poll

The application will generally display in set positions within the layout, depending on how your intranet has been structured.

From the Layout
The Quick Poll displays at its best when located in either the left or right panes of the layout. It can also be placed in the center pane, however, due to the nature of the application, you may find a lot of white space to on the right-hand side (see image below).

You can have multiple Quick Polls within a single layout; this can be done by adding multiple Quick Poll components onto a layout. See example screenshot below; 1 quick poll in the left pane, 1 quick poll in the right pane, 1 quick poll in the center pane.

Voting with Quick Poll: Poll

There are 2 types of Quick Polls, please see steps for voting about each below:

Voting on Polls
Voting on Quizzes

Everyone is able to vote using the Quick Poll, however, how many times you can vote will depend on what has been set by the administrator for that subsite. Either you can vote as many times as you like, or you will only be allowed to vote once. Voting for Polls and Quizzes is conducted in the same way, however, the results are displayed differently; see below.

Voting on Polls

To cast your vote, simply navigate to the subsite in which you would like to vote and locate the Quick Poll
Before casting your vote, you are able to any View Results to-date by selecting the View Results link. Click Back to return to the Quick Poll for voting

In this example, there are currently no votes with both options at 0%
Read the question and select an answer from the options provided by clicking the applicable radio button
Once happy with your choice, click the Vote button. Your vote has been recorded and the results are displayed.

You are the only voter so far on this poll with your answer rating at 100%
Depending on the settings for this poll, you may be able to vote multiple times. Some polls, though, may be restricted to 1 vote per person. If this is the case, you won't be able to vote again - when the site loads, you will always see the results display without the ability to vote

Voting on Quizzes

To cast your vote, simply navigate to the subsite in which you would like to vote and locate the Quick Poll
Before casting your vote, you are able to View Results by selecting the View Results link. Click Back to return to the Quick Poll for voting

In this example, the correct answer underlined: Friday
Read the question and select an answer from the options provided by clicking the applicable radio button
Once happy with your choice, click the Vote button. Your vote has been recorded and the results are displayed.

You are only able to vote once for a quiz, so you won't be able to vote again - when the site loads, you will always see the results display without the ability to vote
