People You Follow Component (Version 7.0 and above)

This process is conducted through the Front End of iD and will depend on the level of Security applied.

This component is available from the My iD app only.

People You Follow is an automatically generated list of the users you are following. When you Follow another user, it means the updates to his/her Activity Feed is included in your own Activity Feed.

The page explains the different display settings possible for this component.

Component Properties

Authorized users can edit the properties of the People You Follow component. By editing the properties the authorized user can adjust the available functionality and the look and feel of the component.

The editing of the properties is divided into 3 tabs:

General Properties
Allows users to enable and disable general styling and formatting properties, such as a border and padding
Component Properties
Allows users to enable and disable properties that are specific to the People You Follow Component, e.g. Display Profile Picture, Display Name, Display Number of Users
Template Properties
These properties are set within the template and are not editable on the Master Profile as they control the overall use of a component. For example, a component can be configured so that the component itself cannot be removed.

General
General properties are related to the general appearance of the component within its nominated location. Listed below are the properties available for modification.

Name
Default Value: None
The name of the component, used as the identifier for the component.

Border Color
Default Value: None
The border color sets the color of the border rendered around the component.

Border Width
Default Value: 2px
The border width sets the border width around the component. A width of 0 indicates that a border will not be added.

Padding - LEFT | RIGHT | TOP | BOTTOM
Default Value: 0px
The padding property specifies the padding that will be placed around the component. Specific values can be applied to the left, right, top and bottom sections of the component's boundary.

Component
The Component properties are related to the specific component's visual appearance and functionality. Listed below are the properties available for modification.

Each of the 3 options here can be selected/deselected to alter the way this component appears.

Display Profile Picture
Default Value: Display picture
Determines if the component shows the profile picture of each user you are following.

Determines if the component shows the name of each user you are following.

Template
The Template properties are set at the template level and cannot be edited elsewhere. Listed below are the properties within the template properties.

Allow Property Editing
Default Value: True
This property determines if the properties of the component can be modified from the default settings provided via the template.

Allow Inline Editing
Default Value: True
This property determines if the component's content can be modified from the default content provided via the template.

Allow Removal
Default Value: True
This property determines if the component can be removed from the current location.

Allow Repositioning
Default Value: True
This property determines if the component can be moved to its current position (drag and drop).
